Lando Norris Tops Oscar Piastri in Brazilian Practice Session
The British driver has outscored his teammate at each of the previous five grands prix.
The McLaren driver edged out fellow driver and title rival Oscar Piastri for the quickest lap in the closing stages of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The British racer, who took the title advantage from Piastri by a single point after his victory in the Mexican Grand Prix recently, beat the Australian by a mere 0.023s.
Until that point, Oscar Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair during the running before the sprint shootout set to begin at 18:30 GMT.
Max Verstappen, the sole remaining contender in the points battle, trailing 36 points behind behind Norris, finished in 17th position as his team opted for a alternative strategy.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the only driver to crash, albeit lightly, when he spun at Turn Four during the early running.
Tsunoda spun out over the track edges before rotating through the run-off area, and was blessed to get away with just a slight brush of the fence.

The seven-time champion ended the session in 19th place, trailing team-mate Charles Leclerc.
Norris and Piastri were significantly quicker of the rest of the field, with the German's Sauber P3, over half a second off Piastri's best.
The Aston Martin of the Spanish driver was in fourth, with Sauber's Bortoleto in front of Mercedes' Russell and Alpine's Gasly and the Williams of Carlos Sainz.
